Nigerian superstar Davido headlined day 3 of the 2023 Afro Nation in Portugal on Saturday, June 25. This was the first time he had been seen publicly since the pregnancy allegations against him surfaced earlier this month.
The hitmaker took to the stage to perform some of his biggest hits, including “Fall,” “Aye,” and “If.” He also performed his most recent single, “Stand Strong,” which he released in May.
During his performance, Davido put his middle finger up in the air when he got to the part in “Unavailable” where he sings about rumors. This gesture was seen by many as a response to the recent allegations against him.
The allegations against Davido first surfaced on social media in early June. A woman named Anita Brown claimed that she was pregnant with the singer's child. She also posted screenshots of alleged text messages between her and Davido.
Davido has not publicly addressed the allegations. However, his lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, has denied them.
Davido's performance at Afro Nation was met with mixed reactions. Some fans were supportive of the singer, while others were critical.
