Guinness world record holder, Kaffy reacts to delay in verifying Hilda’s achievement, reveals how long it might take
Kaffy, a professional dancer and Guinness World Record holder, has confirmed that the verification process for Nigerian chef Hilda Baci's new record may take several weeks.
Kaffy made this statement in response to a comment from Guinness World Records regarding the delay in confirming Hilda's achievement.
Fox Nigeria reports that Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking time” by an individual. Surpassing the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tandon, Hilda cooked non-stop for over 87 hours and 45 minutes, becoming the new holder of the prestigious Guinness World Record. She accomplished this feat on Monday, May 15, at 7:45 am.
Since then, many Nigerians have been eagerly awaiting official recognition from Guinness World Records. In response to a curious Twitter user, Guinness World Records stated that they are aware of the remarkable attempt and that they need to thoroughly review all the evidence before making an official confirmation.
Commenting on an Instagram blog, Kaffy shared her insights, mentioning that the waiting period and review process are standard procedures. She recounted her own experience, explaining that during her own record-breaking attempt, they had to wait for nearly two weeks for the videos and records to be reviewed before receiving official confirmation.
Kaffy also emphasized that technical errors can sometimes prevent successful attempts from being verified. However, she expressed her belief that Hilda's achievement will be recognized and wished her success in the verification process.
