How To Apply For NYSC Revalidation
Have you missed the NYSC orientation camp or failed to show up for service? If so, you have the opportunity to revalidate and serve in the next batch.
It’s important to note that skipping the NYSC orientation doesn’t mean the end of the road for you. The good news is that you can revalidate and obtain permission to participate in the subsequent batch.
In this article, we will guide you on how to use the revalidation portal to apply for NYSC revalidation. But before we proceed, let’s provide you with a brief introduction to NYSC Revalidation and what you need to know about it.
All You Need to Know About NYSC Revalidation
NYSC Revalidation requires a Prospective Corps Member (PCM) to go through the revalidation process to update their previously registered information on the NYSC portal.
Through this procedure, a PCM appears to be enrolling for service for the first time, even though they have previously done so.
Revalidation usually takes place when NYSC opens its portal for new registrations. After the portal is opened, the link for revalidation becomes active for already mobilized PCMs who did not report to camp in a previous batch.
It’s important to understand that if you failed to report to camp in Stream 1 of a specific batch, you cannot revalidate into the subsequent stream. Instead, NYSC will automatically revalidate you into Stream 2, or you must wait until the next batch to revalidate manually.
Please note that NYSC Revalidation can only be done in batches, not in streams.
To apply for NYSC revalidation, follow these steps:
- Visit the revalidation portal at https://www.portal.nysc.org.ng.
- Click on the “Revalidation” link.
- Log in using the email and password you used for registration in the previous batch.
- The system will process automatic revalidation for you. You may be asked to make another payment and select other states of deployment.
- Finally, click “SUBMIT” and print out your slip.
Additional Information
It is also important to know that corps members who were deployed by NYSC to a state but couldn’t make it to the NYSC orientation camp due to unforeseen circumstances are eligible to apply for NYSC revalidation.
