JAMB releases supplementary mock results, check yours

JAMB has disclosed that about 84,000 candidates participated in the 2023 supplementary mock exam held today April 18th, 2023, and their results have now been released and can be checked right now. The exercise was conducted in 387 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country, with 16 of the centres having two sessions

Prof. Oloyede, while commending candidates for their understanding over the board's decision to reschedule the examination for Tuesday, said the glitches earlier observed in the mock-UTME in some centres prompted it to be rescheduled was a result of the deployment of innovations.

Also speaking, the JAMB's Director of Information Technology Services (ITS), Fabian Okoro, said that real-time information from all CBT centres across the country indicated that the exercise was conducted smoothly.

It was also disclosed that the results of the 84,000 candidates who took the supplementary mock will be available today. We, therefore, advise candidates who took part in the supplementary mock exam to start checking their results now.

JAMB extends 2023 direct entry registration

JAMB has prolonged the deadline for the ongoing 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration for an additional week. The DE registration started on March 20 and was initially supposed to end on April 20, but it will now close on April 28.

According to a statement by JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, the extension is to provide candidates with Cambridge A'Level results with the opportunity to verify their certificates during registration and allow other candidates more time to register.

The board has collaborated with the British Council to streamline the process of verifying the Cambridge A/L Certificate. This move led to JAMB reconsidering its earlier decision to exclude the Cambridge certificate for DE registration.

The holders of Cambridge Certificates, who want to register for the 2023 Direct Entry, can visit any of the board's offices closest to them to register for the exercise. However, the board will not accept candidates who are waiting for their Cambridge certificates.

84,000 candidates write rescheduled mock – UTME

On Tuesday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) conducted a rescheduled mock-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock-UTME) for 84,000 candidates across Nigeria. After monitoring the exam in , JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, expressed delight over the smooth exercise and thanked the candidates for showing understanding over the board's decision to reschedule the exam. Oloyede said that glitches experienced earlier in some computer-based test centres (CBT) prompted the board to reschedule the exam and that they used the opportunity to deploy some innovations ahead of the main UTME.

The Mock-UTME was held in 387 CBT centres across the country, with 16 centres having two sessions. Results of the exam were to be released on the same day. JAMB's Director of Information Technology Services (ITS), Fabian Okoro, confirmed that real-time information from all CBT centres revealed that the exam was conducted smoothly. During a visit to some of the CBT centres in Abuja, candidates were seen taking part in the exam in an orderly manner. One of the candidates, Luka Mercy, commended JAMB for ensuring that the mock exam went on as planned without any issue.
