Early Life
Olamide was born to the family of Pa Adedeji on the 15th Of March 1989. He comes from a polygamous home, and his mother is the second wife of the family. He is the second child of his mother, Mrs. Ronke Osisanya Adedeji. He has two siblings, an older brother named Eniola Olamilekan (known professionally as DJ Enimoney) and a younger sister named TemmyGold.
His parents named him Olamide Gbenga. He and his siblings were raised in the heart of Bariga, a city in Mainland Lagos. From his teenage age, Olamide had expressed interest in pursuing music. This decision came after discovering his musical talent, as he was good at composing rap songs. His first set of fans were his siblings and friends in the neighborhood, who he performed for regularly.
Although he faced difficulties in the early days of his music career, he kept the dream alive and didn't give up on his goal. He initially started out rapping in English to stand out from the crop of rappers in the country. He switched to indigenous rap and started composing songs in his native dialect, Yoruba.

Education
For his elementary and secondary school education, Olamide attended top-tier public schools in Bariga.
After completing his high school studies, he gained admission into the Ogun State-owned Tai Solarin University Of Education. However, he had to drop out of the institution due to financial challenges.
Olamide took to his music vocation in 2000, in the wake of finding his ability in music. after 10 years, after the arrival of Eni Duro, he rose to fame. He discharged his first single ‘Eni Duro' under the Coded Tunes name and was overseen by Toni Payne. Olamide later performed at the hip-bounce world honors function that equivalent year.
Baddo Sneh began with ID Cabasa's Coded Tunes record mark headed by Toni Payne where he did his first studio collection. He left in 2012 to begin his own record mark.
Career
Olamide‘s career started to blossom when he was still signed to Coded Tunes Records, owned by ID Cabasa. Under Coded Tunes, he released his commercially successful debut album, Raspodi, in 2011. The album's lead single, Omo To Shan, helped solidify Olamide's stance as the new king of Indigenous Rap (Yoruba). The single also paved the way for more fantastic collaborations in the industry with big names like D'banj, Reminisce, 9ice, and Wizkid.
Working with producers ID Cabasa, Samklef, Pheelz, and 2kriss, Olamide recorded and released his sophomore album, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL), in 2013. The project featured collaborations with some of the industry's most acceptable such as Dammy Krane, Kayswitch, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Reminisce.
In like manner, Olamide dropped the third album the following year. The project titled Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was released in November 2013. The 13-track project had twelve of its tracks produced by Pheelz and had stars like Ice Prince, Pepenazi, Viktoh, Phyno, and Bez as guest artists.
The album, which won Best Album Of The Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, is composed of top-charting singles such as Eleda Mi O, Yemi My Lover, Durosoke, and Turn Up. The album also clinched Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year at The Headies in 2014.
The follow-up album of Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was released on the 14th Of November 2014 titled Street OT. The music project is Olamide's fourth studio album and includes hit singles like Story For The Gods and Goons Mi on its tracklist. Young John, Pheelz, and B-Banks, a team of maverick sound producers, worked on its production.
On the 23rd Of November 2015, Olamide released his fifth studio album titled Eyan Mayweather, which comprises 21 tracks. There was no featured artist on the project. Earlier that year, in April, he had dropped a collaborative project with Ibo rapper, Phyno titled 2 Kings. The album is a joint project by Penthhauze Music and YBNL Records.
Teaming up with Pheelz, Phyno, Burna Boy, Davolee, Wande Coal, Olamide dropped his sixth studio album titled The Glory. Pheelz executed the production of the 16-track project, and the album was released on the 23rd Of December 2016.
Between 2020 and 2021, Olamide released a 9-track EP titled 999 and two albums – Carpie Diem and UY Scuti.
999 was released on the 10th Of February 2020, with no prior announcement to the public, making it a surprise project. At the same time, Carpie Diem was released on the 8th Of October 2020 and is composed of 12 tracks.
UY Scuti, which Olamide's son inspired, was released on the 18th Of June 2021. Olamide has made it known that he has another album coming up, which would be his last full-length project as an artist.

YBNL Nation
Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) Nation Label is a free record label founded in 2012 by Olamide Adedeji. The label is slang referring to a person making money with no illicit dealings. The label signed numerous artists including Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Adekunle Gold, D J Enimoney, Picazo, Temmie Ovwasa, and more including Fireboy DML. While some artists like Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Lyta, Limerick, Picazo Rhap, and Yomi Blaze have left, Fireboy DML and others are still under the label.
In 2016, YBNL won the record label of the year in the City People Entertainment Award.
