Pop superstar Katy Perry spotted looking for her seat at Coronation of King Charles III
Pop superstar Katy Perry was spotted at the Coronation of King Charles III, where she joined a host of other celebrities, foreign monarchs, politicians, world leaders, and everyday heroes in attending the historic event. The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey in London and marked a significant moment in the lives of many Britons.
The event saw family and friends of the King and Queen Consort in attendance, as well as members of the royal family who had official roles in the ceremony, including Prince George, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Nine-year-old Prince George was seen travelling with his parents to the Abbey on Wednesday (May 3) for the rehearsal of the coronation, where he has been given the responsibility of being one of his grandfather's Pages of Honour.
The King and Queen Consort each have four Pages of Honour supporting them on the day of the coronation, including schoolboys who are family friends or close relatives. Charles' eldest grandson George is the youngest of the Pages, and Camilla's three grandsons are also prominent among them.
On Saturday morning, Katy Perry arrived at Westminster Abbey for the coronation and drew attention with her eye-catching humongous pink hat. Fans watching the event found her amusingly relatable as she struggled to find her seat among the celebrity-packed crowd.
However, despite the humorous moment, Perry also expressed her excitement for the event and her upcoming stay at the royal residence. She even praised the regal nature of her invitation, stating that she had never seen cursive writing quite like it before.
After the coronation, Perry is set to perform at the coronation concert on Sunday alongside music legends Lionel Richie and Take That, as well as Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli and Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel. She will be staying at Windsor Castle the night before the performance, which promises to be a night to remember. On social media, royal fans reacted to Perry's hilarious moment in the historic abbey, as well as the sheer size of her fascinator, with one joking that everyone near her would be getting great 5G reception.
