Fox Nigeria reports that National Directorate of Employment (NDE), an organization established by the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1986 to combat mass unemployment and decrease the reliance on white-collar jobs, has started the registration process for jobless Nigerians.
The registration exercise began on Monday, April 17, 2023, in Lagos State and will run until Friday, April 28, 2023. The NDE office invited interested unemployed individuals in Lagos to register at their designated local government or the NDE office located at 7, Barikisu Iyede Street, Onike, Yaba.

The objective of the program is for the Federal Government of Nigeria to obtain complete data on the unemployed population in the country to create adequate plans for them.
The registration exercise is being conducted in the 20 local government areas in Lagos State, and Edward urged all unemployed persons to register at their designated local governments to benefit from the program.
