‘They don’t have any information’: Babcock University speaks as hackers says they will release students’ sensitive data
Babcock University has confirm that its portal was hacked again by hackers.
Fox Nigeria reports that the hackers released a statement claiming they had previously alerted the school about weaknesses in its website.
The hackers claim to have obtained sensitive personal information, including student and alumni data, bank and card details, and addresses.
The hackers also allege that the website was not secured even after the school's security engineers worked on the last alert issued and that passwords were not changed.
The hackers have threatened to leak all the information they have unless their demands are met.
The school has confirmed in a statement that it has been under cyber attack lately and has issued a memo to inform students. However, the school denies that the hackers have any access to its information, including personal details.
