Why Actor Edward Gale was not arrested after being caught as an online child predator

Actor Ed Gale, who is best known for playing the original Chucky, was recently confronted in Hollywood by a group called the “Creep Catcher Unit” (CC Unit). This group poses as minors online to catch sexual predators and presented Gale with a folder containing alleged printouts of his sexual conversations with a decoy account posing as a 14-year-old boy. The CC Unit is led by a person who goes by the name “Ghost” to protect their identity.

According to Ghost, Gale had become very graphic in his messages leading up to the confrontation, including talking about wanting to have sexual relations with the supposed child. Although the LAPD was called to the scene, Gale was not arrested due to his health condition, but the incident is being investigated.

The CC Unit has been livestreaming their “catches” on YouTube or Instagram but did not stream this particular interaction with Gale. The group claims that Gale was their 353rd “catch” since starting their “To Catch a Predator” style stings in 2018.

Screenshots of the alleged text conversation between Gale and the decoy account reveal him making sexually explicit comments and expressing a desire to have sexual relations with the supposed child. In videos filmed by the CC Unit on Friday, Gale admitted to having talked to several minors sexually online and planning to have oral, hand, and possibly anal sex with the supposed child.
