Early Life
Yvonne Nelson was born on November 12, 1985, in Accra, Ghana. She hails from Cape Coast, Ghana. Her parents are Mr. O. Nelson (father) and Margaret Gaddy (mother).
After attending St. Martin De Porres School in Accra, Ghana, for her early education, Yvonne Nelson continued her studies at Aggrey Memorial Senior High School in Accra.
For her tertiary education, she enrolled at Central University College in Ghana, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in human resource management.
In 2005, she participated in the prestigious Miss Ghana pageant but did not emerge as the winner.
Career
In 2000, Yvonne Nelson began attending auditions for movies in Ghana, marking the start of her acting career. She gained prominence in 2007 after her lead role in the highly successful Ghanaian film Princess Tyra. This success led her to Nigeria, where she starred in five more films, propelling her into the Nollywood industry and establishing her as a well-known personality.
Some of the films in which Yvonne Nelson has appeared include Crime to Christ, Princess Tyra, Passion of the Soul, Plan B, Tears of Womanhood, and many more, totaling nearly 100 films.
